Hi, I’m Walt Fritz, from Foundations in Manual Therapy seminars. Manual therapy continues to make inroads into the speech-language pathologist community and also into your research. Reading studies that speak to manual therapy’s impact on reducing post-radiation inflammation and reducing fibroblast activity allows us to continue to encourage its inclusion into treatment strategies. With robust levels of evidence for its use with MTD and MTDg, manual therapy is being validated as having a solid place in the intervention tool belt of the SLP.
I hope you’ll consider joining me at any of my upcoming Voice and Swallowing Disorders, Advanced Voice and Swallowing Disorders or the new Balancing the Body seminars. All carry ASHA CEU approval and feature a novel person-centered model of evaluation and treatment. Those expecting an overriding dose of anatomy leave my seminars surprised at the behavioral approaches utilized in this work. This year, I’ll be teaching across the US, as well as Montreal and London, so please take a long look throughout the website, www.WaltFritz.com. Coming in early 2022 will be my new book, “Manual Therapy in Voice and Swallowing: A Person-Centered Approach.”
